GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Patrons are advised that tickets, once purchased, cannot be exchanged or refunded.
The exception may be in the case of any particular event selling out, with the Theatre having a waiting list where the tickets may be guaranteed to be resold. This will be decided on at the discretion of the Manager.
Our tickets are valid only when issued by us or an authorised agent. Tickets may not, without consent of Westport Town Hall, be resold for commercial purposes or at a premium, nor may it be packaged or used for advertising, promotional or any other commercial purpose whatsoever. If a ticket is sold in breach of this condition, the bearer of the ticket will be refused admission.
Patrons are urged to ALWAYS note the start time of all events. Latecomers will not be admitted until a suitable interval. Again, in the case of a show selling out, if patrons have turned up late without letting the theatre know at least 1 hour in advance of the start time, the theatre will not be obliged to admit them to their designated seats as they may have been reallocated. A refund or exchange will not be an option in this case.
Westport Town Hall Theatre reserves the right to offer special discounted ticket prices at any time. Reservations held for more than 4 days which have not been paid for will be automatically deleted from the system.
The use of cameras or recording equipment (visual and audio) is strictly prohibited at Westport Town Hall Theatre. Mobile phones must be switched off or placed on silent during performances. Westport Town Hall is a non-smoking facility.
Event details are correct at the time of going to print. We reserve the right to alter the programme (including venue seating arrangements) in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
DATA PROTECTION ACT
Once you have booked tickets for an event at our Theatre your details will be held on our database. From time to time, we may send you information about Westport Town Hall and its programme of events. If you do not wish to receive this information, please tell us at the time of booking.
Where applicable, concession rates are detailed within the relevant performance information.
Concession rates apply to people aged 18 years and under and to people aged 65 years and over. Also, Students in full time education with a valid Student ID Card.
For concession tickets, photo identification will be required for proof of entitlement.
ATTENDANCE OF CHILDREN
Everyone attending a performance including children and babies must hold a valid ticket for that performance. We understand the likelihood of children up to 12 months simply sitting on a parent/guardians lap for designated children’s performances only. For health and safety reasons prams and baby carriers will not be admitted into the auditorium. In the interests of everyones enjoyment and safety parents/carers are requested to observe the recommended age guidelines for events. Children aged 14 and under must be accompanied by a parent/guardian attending performances.
When 10 tickets or more are purchased for a show, a 10% discount off the full price can be obtained. (On selected shows)
NB: Group bookings cannot be made via the internet – please contact our box office during working hours.
For designated evening performances educational groups can obtain a 20% group discount.
Family tickets will be available for specified events and admittance, either for groups of four or five. Family of four tickets will enable a maximum of two adults and two children. Family of five will enable a maximum of two adults and three children (3rd child aged under 2 years).
For some performances not promoted by the theatre, a support act may precede the main act, particularly for popular music events. Whilst the theatre endeavours to inform patrons about such support acts in advance, on some occasions it may not be possible.
FOOD AND DRINK
Patrons are not allowed to bring food or drinks into the building under any circumstances unless purchased at the Theatre Bar.
Drinks purchased in the Theatre may be brought into the Auditorium unless a particular show promoter requests that patrons refrain from consuming drinks in the Auditorium during a performance. Patrons will be advised by door staff on the night of any particular performance if drinks are not allowed into auditorium. Drinks can be consumed in the Bar 30mins before a performance and during the designated interval when the bar is open.
There is limited public parking to the front and surrounding Octagon area of the theatre. 1 Hour free parking from 9am to 7pm. There are 3 designated disabled parking spots allocated on the Octagon area overall, 1 of which is directly outside the Theatre. There is a large public car park to the rear of the facility which is accessed via James St. Parking charges (pay and display) are incurred from 9am-7pm daily, with the exception of Sundays and Bank Holidays. Patrons are advised NOT TO USE wheelchair parking spaces unless entitled to do so, with their Blue Badge displayed prominently.
FACILITIES WITH PATRONS WITH DISABILITIES
There are three places for wheelchairs, in Row C in the auditorium. With an option to expand to 10 spaces (Seat availability dependent).
Access to this row, to the toilets, bar and to the box office is free of steps (lift access available to bar on 1st floor).
It is important that you mention your requirements to our staff when booking and we will be pleased to assist in whatever way we can.
PHOTOGRAPHY FOR PUBLICITY
Please note that throughout each season, we may record through photography, activities promoted by the theatre that are taking place in the building, including: Drama and Dance Workshops for young people. This is for promotional purposes and for inclusion in future publications. Strict editorial control is given to the output of this material. We ask patrons of minors who do not wish their children to be included in such photography to please contact the Theatre in writing, stating the name of the minor and the activity, before their participation in the event, workshop or class.
