FAMILY FEVER – A Comedy play by Sam Cree
Presented by: Kilmeena Drama Group
Thursday 13th April 2017
Curtain Up: 8pm
After a super sell-out performance in Westport Town Hall in early March 2017, Kilmeena Drama Group are back by popular demand with their latest production “Family Fever” by Sam Cree
As a follow up to “Wedding Fever”, the Smith family are now preparing for Christmas and New Year. Alec Smith hopes for a peaceful and stress-free Christmas but he is afforded no such luck. His eldest daughter Myra is heavily pregnant and due to give birth at any moment with her husband Dennis working overseas; whilst his younger daughter Linda has been hit by cupid’s arrow so all she cares about is the kilted Scotsman Archie McNulty.
Alec’s wife Sadie is off on spending sprees and her generous invitation to have Aunt Maud over on Christmas Day makes matters worse given that Maud is fond of the odd tipple not to mention Alec himself!
Added to the chaos is an errant mouse, over-familiar neighbours Emily and Willie, and all sorts of untimely misunderstandings with the disapproving in-laws.
Thankfully, it all comes right in the end!
