The O’Malley Clan have long treasured and celebrated Granuaile, her myths, legend, fairytales and the  documented historical reality of her extraordinary  life. The Clan is  also honoured to be associated with the creative endeavours of Tony O’Malley, Helen Hooker O’Malley, Anúnas O’Malley Mass, and others. As part of the 64th Annual O’Malley Clan Rally 2018 in Westport this year,  The O’Malley Clan have recently invited Artists to submit work depicting their personal creative interpretation of the woman and the legend of Granuaile.

The works which include poetry, sculpture, wood cuts and painting will be on display in The Westport Town Hall Theatre The exhibition is open to everyone to view, entry is free and will open 12 to 6 daily throughout June. The diversity of work created for this Exhibition reflects the huge interest in Granuaile and the many aspects of her long and eventful life. This is an exhibition not to be missed.

Official opening will be on Thursday, June 14th from 6pm in the exhibition space of Westport Town Hall Theatre by Mark Mellett, the Vice-Admiral and Chief of staff of the Irish Navy.
