The three main contributors to this mixed exhibition are Jennifer Brennan, Sara Dillon and Catherine Staunton.

Jennifer, Catherine and Sara came together, with others, to create this exhibition. The felts and papier mache bowls have been made individually, whilst the multi-media sculptures are the product of a collaboration with Pat Youell from Westport using found items and hand-sculpted models of wire and papier mache.

Jennifer Brennan lives near Kiltimagh and is a visual artist. Jen’s primary interests are lino cutting and pen and watercolour paintings. She finds inspiration in both the man-made and the natural. Bridges and buildings have been a significant area of interest and the subject matter of much of her work. This interest can be seen in her bowl titled ‘Autumn’.

Catherine lives in her home place in Bekan where she pursues her passions for painting and knitting. In recent years, Catherine has branched out to explore other crafts as seen in this exhibition. Her papier mache bowls are combined with her love of painting and her knitting can be seen in the sculptures.

Sara Dillon lives near Swinford and works mainly in wool in various forms producing felts, hangings and rugs, etc. Like Catherine, Sara has developed an interest in other crafts and has found herself drawn to the stitching and beading of felt.
