Arcanadh are a six-piece band hailing from north, south, east and west of Ireland. Their line-up consists of Martin Gallen, guitar, bodhran and vocals, Colm Breathnach, mandola, banjo and vocals, Maria Corbet, harp and vocals, Fiona Walsh, fiddle and vocals, Sinead Gibson, whistles, guitar and vocals and finally Mags Gallen, piano, fiddle and vocals. Several Arcanadh members have strong connections with Westport and Mayo. Fiona is from Bohola and Mags now lives in Westport, while Maria’s mother grew up in Westport and has lots of family in the town.

Arcanadh have performed worldwide at prestigious venues in countries such as Germany, Taiwan, Kuwait, the United States to name but a few. They have also played extensively in France as part of the Semaines Irlandaises concert series. They have picked up several accolades along the way including Best Newcomers at the Irish Music Awards and Best Band of the Lorient Festival Interceltique.

Arcanadh have recorded 3 studio albums – Soundings, Turning of a Day and Light from the Water.
Renowned for their “powerful blend of vocals and exquisite harmonies”, Arcanadh continue to endear themselves to audiences with their combination of self-composed songs and songs from traditions all over the world bringing shivers to many a spine!
